AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Providing individual, couples or family-based counselling that is rooted in evidence-based practices.
• Conducting clinical assessments and developing individualized treatment plans including discharge planning.
• Participating in ongoing and regular clinical consultation and related clinical activities.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and reports, including collecting relevant data to evaluate client and service outcomes, and the use of measurement based care tools.
• Advocating for and supporting clients in accessing other services

COUNSELLOR/PSYCHOTHERAPIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
• A sound theoretical framework for working in a variety of areas, with an emphasis on trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety and relationship issues
• Superior communication skills
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
• Attention to detail in collecting and reporting measurement based care data and documenting clinical information in a timely and efficient manner
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate requires at minimum:
• Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
• Masters level degree in a social science with three (3) years’ experience preferred
• Solid clinical framework with knowledge in a variety of therapeutic interventions including CBT and DBT
• Knowledge of Indigenous history and culture with ability to provide culturally based interventions
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred
