FAST Employment Program – Funded Training Opportunities

Did you know that the Independent Living Resource Centre (ILRC) Thunder Bay’s FAST Employment Program can fund training opportunities for job seekers with disabilities? The FAST Employment Program can help you with your employment goals through offering several supports including possible funding opportunities for trainings and certificates!

FUNDED TRAINING EXAMPLES:

• Security Guard Training
• Fork Lift Operator Training
• Working at Heights Training
• AZ & DZ licenses
• Heavy Equipment Operation Training (HEO)
• Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
• First Aid & CPR Training
• Smart Serve Certificate

ELIGIBILITY:

• You are 16 years of age or older
• You must self-disclose a disability
• You must be legally entitled to work in Canada
• You have a Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• You are unemployed or underemployed (less than 20 hours)
• You are highly motivated to pursue your employment goals
• You are available and can commit to regularly scheduled appointments with your Employment Facilitator
• You are reliable and can be in ongoing communication throughout your participation in the project
