Science North

The ingenuity of First Peoples from North America is all around us. Visitors will have a chance to experience that first-hand when Science North hosts the Indigenous Ingenuity: Timeless Inventions exhibition from December 10, 2021 to February 21, 2022 at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery. The exhibition takes visitors through an interactive quest to discover how indigenous contributions to our world are timeless. With a bear and a trickster as their guides they will take part in a virtual canoe race, test a kayak’s centre of gravity, and discover interactive frescoes. They will observe nature, listen to knowledge bearers, experiment with scientific principles, and transmit and share experiences with others! Science North has several opportunities to join in this wonderful experience and share your passion with visitors as you answer questions, explain exhibits and engage them in activities. We are looking for individuals who love to learn to be part of our team. If you think you might be interested visit our website to apply or feel free to reach out to us to get more information. Indigenous applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
An early application represents your best opportunity for consideration. Science North is committed to an inclusive workplace and invites applications from all qualified individuals to join our diverse team. Accommodations are available upon request in all aspects of Science North’s selection process. We thank all interested candidates; only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
