Are you a hard-working, reliable individual looking to learn a valuable trade?
We are Exel Exteriors Contracting Ltd., a growing residential exterior renovations company in Thunder Bay, Ontario. looking for a motivated Exterior Trim & Siding Installer Helper to join our team!
In this role, you’ll be working alongside experienced installers, assisting with various tasks to ensure a smooth, efficient and quality operation.

The Job Details
Permanent, Full Time
Monday to Friday
Approx. 40 hours per week
Occasional weekend overtime work
Initial Rate of Pay to commensurate with experience. ($18.00 – $24.00/ hour)

Here’s a sample of what you’ll do:
Assist with the preparation and installation of:
• Soffit, Fascia and Eavestrough
• Vinyl and Metal Siding
• Windows and Doors
• Metal Roofing

Assist with carrying, lifting, and maneuvering siding materials
Help prepare work areas and keep the job site clean
Learn basic siding installation techniques
Assist with tools and equipment
Load and unload materials from trucks

What we’re looking for:

No experience necessary, but a great attitude is a must!
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy materials
Ability to climb and work comfortably and safely from ladders, scaffolding and powered boom lifts
(Work at Heights Certification must be obtained if not already possessed)
Strong Math Skills as all work requires measurements and calculations

You provide:

Positive attitude and team player mentality
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e safety boots, eye protection etc)
Your own hand tools and with basic knowledge thereof. Experience with power tools.
Reliable transportation to and from shop and /or job sites
Valid Driver’s License and vehicle required to get to meeting points.
