Attention Confederation College and Lakehead University Students:

Are you looking for summer Full-Time work? We are excited to announce 6 New positions for the summer to build our team at Community Clothing Assistance in the Office and Store/Clothing bank. Our organization serves low-income families and individuals in Thunder Bay. We have the vision to grow and help our summer students learn hands-on practical skills as well. Others may be considered for the following positions if the right candidates are found. But we do require post-secondary education and need reliable team members.

We are looking for students with post-secondary education and mature character.

The start dates for the following positions will be June 6, 2022. Deadline for all applications is May 20, 2022 at 5pm.

Our team offers room to grow in character, professionally and in practical skills. If you have the personality to work hard, willing to grow and learn from your mistakes, there might be room for you.

The ideal candidates will have a University or College education, and a personality that is willing to work well with others in our non-profit organization. These positions will be assisting our organization with the projects on-site and some may overlap with other projects.

Please note, that we are only looking for applicants who are locally already in Thunder Bay. Unfortunately, we are unable to give these jobs to International Students.

Availability: 35 hours per week and unpaid lunches.

Monday- Friday 9 am-5 pm are our scheduled office hours.

Store Associates work similar hours as to office with an additional day of Saturday 11:45-5:15 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS For ALL Positions:

•             Post-secondary education in marketing, business, human resources, web design or multimedia

•             Strong communication, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills

•             Candidates must be a post-secondary school graduate or returning to school as a student in the fall at Confederation College, Lakehead University or other institution.

•             Maturity in character and professionalism

•             Positive role models for high school students

•             Acceptance of responsibilities

•             Awareness of how one action affects others

•             Willingness to learn from your mistakes and strengthen your weaknesses

FT-Financing Officer- FUNDRAISING X2  (Canada Job Bank; Financing Officer-Fundraising S202201)

We are looking for two fundraising assistants that will be working together as a team.  This is because the projects are large and will require research skills, trustworthiness and reliability. These two will be working on the following types of projects.

1.            GRANTS-Research and apply online

2.            Fundraising ideas on the internet; research, applying and helping to implement ideas

3.            Fundraising- corporate- Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributors

4.            Helping with Auction Activities; researching

5.            The ideal candidate will have a project, research and fundraising training/experience

 

FT- Marketing/Multimedia Developer X 2 (Canada Job Bank; Marketing Assistant- S202202)

1.            Helping with Marketing/promotional materials. Develop and maintain media contact. Part of these projects will involve utilizing marketing materials already created and implementing new ideas. Ideal candidates may have experience creating email lists/updates.

2.            Advertising CCA events on the internet and inside about CCA events and specials.

3.            Create advertisements, correspondence and contact marketing organizations about fundraising

4.            Creating Advertising images, videos and literature

5.            The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary pursuit in marketing

FT- Coordinator, Human Resources X1 (Canada Job Bank; Coordinator, Human Resources S202203)

1.            Light Administrative duties

2.            Filling all HR documents related to the above

3.            Working with HR policies, procedures

FT- Web Page Designer X 1 (Canada Job Bank; Web Page Designer S202204)

1.            Developing skills and expertise in appropriate software/programming languages

2.            Creating website information systems that are user-friendly, effective and appealing to readers

3.            Digital retouching and image editing

4.            Working as part of a multidisciplinary team for websites
