Wage: $17.20 per hour
Hours per Week: 30 hours

Work Schedule:
Thursday: 1:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Friday: 1:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Saturday: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Sunday: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Total: 30 hours per week
Job Description:
The Upsala Recreation and Community Sports Centre Board is hiring a Tourism Information Officer for the 2025 summer season through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. This role is ideal for youth interested in tourism, recreation, and public service. The successful candidate will work primarily at Inwood Park and Campground and the Inwood Park Office, providing front-line guest services, assisting with reservations, and supporting park cleanliness and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist campground guests in a friendly and professional manner

Manage check-ins, reservations, and booking records under the supervision of the Administrator and Programming Manager

Provide visitors with tourism information and respond to inquiries

Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including washrooms, showers, and the park office

Conduct site inspections and maintain trails, picnic areas, and firepits

Monitor and help enforce campground rules respectfully

Report safety or maintenance concerns to the supervisor

Assist with community events and recreational programming

Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE as required
Eligibility Requirements (Canada Summer Jobs Program):
Must be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment

Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee status

Must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and be legally entitled to work in Canada
Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills

Reliable, self-motivated, and organized

Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Willingness to be trained in the Camp Spot booking platform

Experience in tourism, recreation, or hospitality is an asset, but not required
Working Conditions:
Based on-site at Inwood Park and Campground / Inwood Park Office

Mix of administrative duties, public service, and light maintenance tasks

Weekend and evening availability required

PPE and training will be provided
