Painter’s Assistant

Responsibilities:

·         Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted

·         Apply paint, varnish, stain or other coatings using brushes and rollers

·         Applying base and finished grade coatings and to make drywall repairs

·         Following safety guidelines and using protective gear when required

·         Working on ladders or scaffolding to reach high areas

·         Perform touch-ups and small item painting using brushes or rollers

·         Effective paint storage throughout projects and after job completion for future use

·         Clean work areas and equipment as needed

·         Collaborate with carpenters to build and repair structures as required

Qualifications & Requirements:

·         Valid G Drivers Licenses

·         Up-to-date Working at Heights

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·         A desire to learn new skills and take on new challenges

·         Works well in a team environment

·         Effective problem-solving skills

·         Positive attitude
