Thunder Bay Psychology is a growing private counseling practice located in Thunder Bay.
The ideal applicant will have experience and expertise in Mindfulness based CBT, DBT, couples and family therapy. We will provide referrals, administration, marketing, and a beautiful office space for you to see your clients in. The clinician will set his/her own hours, but preference will be given to individuals who are willing to offer late afternoon, evening, and/or weekend appointments. This position will be likely under 10 hours per week to start depending on referral volume, and will have potential growth from part time to full time caseload.
The clinician will successfully manage his/her own caseload including clinical documentation, demonstrate flexibility, and be self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishDemonstrated clinical skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and also a comfort in the areas of grief counselling, depression, anxiety, trauma and life stressors in both young and older adults.Ability to work effectively with all members of the team.Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and be flexible in a very active work environment.Ability to effectively connect with individuals, colleagues, families, and the community.
Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counseling PsychologyMust be a registered member and in good standing with one of the following, Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists, and/or Ontario College of Psychologists.Proof of or willing to obtain professional liability insurance.
