Bookkeeper

Thunder Bay Gymnastics Association
The Thunder Bay Gymnastics Association is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper. Responsibilities will include tracking TBGA’s revenue and expenses, producing financial reports, and running payroll. The Bookkeeper is also responsible for auditing books to ensure records are correct.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
- Bank reconciliations and managing accounts payable and receivables
- Reconcile company’s financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
- Administer payroll & prepare/submit Payroll Tax, ROEs, Year End Tax Summaries
- Manage Fundraising Accounts, primary communication with City of Thunder Bay’s Lottery Licensing Officers
- Manage incoming Direct Payments from Schools, PROKids & Family Service Centres
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting software
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
The position is flexible, part-time at approximately 15 hours per week. Rate of pay ranges from $20 to $22/hour based on level of experience.
