This position is for someone who enjoys production baking and leading a fast paced team. Position requires a candidate who is 100% reliable, responsible and dedicated. You must stay true to the recipes and be responsible for all stages of mixing, baking and decorating and train your team to do the same
Skills & Requirements
At least two years of professional baking experience.
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for 8-10 hours at a time.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be a leader and problem solver- have the ability to lead and develop the skills of a small team of bakers
Able to work days, nights and weekend shifts
Hands on approach; not a sedentary job
Manage special orders and catering
Plan and execute production schedules
Monitor and meet budgetary requirements
Report to General Manager/Owner
General duties include, but not limited to:
Prep all bakery items according to The Sweet North Bakery recipes and standards.
Bake to our standard of quality.
In depth knowledge of pastries to troubleshoot any problem.
Ensure only quality product is served.
Multi-task while keeping clean, safe and organized.
Follow all bakery tools (checklists, prep charts and cleaning lists)
Follow all health code regulations.
Run ovens, mixers and other bakery machinery.
Manage and actively help to keep refrigerators, dry storage and freezer organized and clean.
Able to work an 8+ hour shift
Able to lift 50 pounds consecutively
Maintain a sanitary bakeshop that meets food safety standards.
Reliable references and proven work history
Compensation: based on experience
