This summer, Science North has launched STEMPath, a new virtual learning experience for Indigenous, under- represented, vulnerable or at-risk youth in grades 7-9 living in Ontario. This program will focus on technical, trades and STEM careers (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) through hands-on immersive career exploration, experiential learning and skills development. Participants in STEMPath will gain interpersonal skills, job and life skills and exposure to potential career and educational pathways in the skilled trades and STEM to plan their futures.
The Science North team in Thunder Bay is looking for an individual to prepare and package activity kits for our virtual program participants. Responsibilities include sorting and counting materials, assembling the packages with required materials and coordinating shipment of kits as required. The successful applicant will be detail oriented, have excellent organizational and time management skills, good communication skills, like repetitive tasks and enjoy working independently.
