Parts Advisor

We are looking for an Parts Advisor to join the Performance Kia team. The ideal candidate for this position must be motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of the automotive industry is an asset but willing to train the right person. You will be responsible for:

• Selling, ordering and stocking automotive parts
• Responding to incoming phone calls and email inquiries from customers and suppliers
• Reading and interpreting parts diagnostics and diagrams
• Assisting technicians by looking up parts needed for vehicle repair on a priority basis
• Taking parts orders over the phone and in person
• Coordinating with the service department to ensure smooth delivery of parts
• Consistently providing excellent customer service
• Preparing estimates and ordering parts and accessories under tight time constraints
• Determining customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions
• Recommending alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications
• Handling part payment collection and making sure customers are billed correctly
• Maintaining accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers
• All other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in the automotive industry is preferred
• Physical ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
• Self-starter and motivated to sell
• Proficient with computer systems and programs
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Mandatory valid G driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to learn by guidance and direction
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Superior problem-solving skills to achieve win-win solutions
