Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Clinic Receptionist at our hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic. The Clinic Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, managing front-desk operations, and providing administrative support to the healthcare team. This position is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, a passion for patient care and problem solving.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing clinic calendars effectively.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
Register patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary documentation.
Process payments and provide receipts for services rendered.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the clinic’s electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and faxing documents.
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Monitor and order office supplies as needed to support daily clinic operations.
Adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations, ensuring compliance with healthcare policies.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in administration or healthcare-related fields is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.
A positive and team-oriented attitude, with a commitment to exceptional patient care.
Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Medical office administration: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person, Thunder Bay, ON
