Your duties and responsibilities as a Commercial Line Account Manager will include:

  • Support commercial clients with their insurance needs.
  • Provide professional insurance insights and advice in the context of risk management.
  • Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their insurance needs and financial situations.
  • Evaluate existing insurance policies and suggest improvements or additional coverage if necessary.
  • Research various insurance products available in the market from multiple insurers.
  • Provide clients with a range of policy options, explaining the benefits and drawbacks of each.
  • Liaise with insurance companies to negotiate terms and secure favorable policy rates for clients.
  • Support clients through the claims process, ensuring they understand the steps involved and advocating on their behalf if disputes arise.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, providing updates on policy changes and suggesting adjustments as life circumstances change.
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance providers to stay informed about new products and services.
  • Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and legal requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years of professional experience in the Insurance sector, Business Development, Account Management or commercial sales.
  • Exceptional sales and relationship building skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Thunder Bay business community.
  • Exceptional listener and communicator (verbal + written).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-driven.
  • Strong technical skills (CRM, Office 365,etc).
  • Willing to learn and grow
