$14 per hour
Location: Thunder Bay – Porphyry Island – Silver Islet
Canadian Lighthouse of Lake Superior (CLLS) is excited to offer summer students who are returning to school in the fall to become a Lighthouse Navigator for the summer. Application Deadline: Friday Mar. 27, 2020
The employment opportunity will take place, partly in Thunder Bay, with the majority of work happening at Porphyry Island and Trowbridge Lighthouses on Lake Superior. It will be an opportunity to discover how a new tourist attraction connects with members, community on a Lake Superior Island.
The experience is a unique opportunity to connect with the world’s largest fresh water lake in summertime with room & board and transportation to the main land provided.
Duties to Include:
-to help operate a lighthouse, meet and greet tourists
-to help develop and assist with interpretive programming
-to guide tourists through the site and tower
-to track tourist information and enter into a daily log
