Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of equipment and machinery purchased from Boreal Solutions LP. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The Repair Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain high service and customer satisfaction standards.

Duties

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in equipment and machinery.
  • Consult manufacturer’s manuals and diagrams to determine test and maintenance procedures for appliances and machinery.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and oiling parts.
    Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as gears using hand tools.
  • Reassemble equipment after repair or maintenance work is complete.
    Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to improve repair processes and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in repair techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a repair technician or in a similar role in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment and machines.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree is a plus.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks as required by company policy.
  • A valid full driver’s license.
