About the Role:

This is a dynamic, dual-function position perfect for someone who enjoys a varied and active workday. You will be instrumental in both the customer-facing and back-end operations of our thrift store.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Clerk Duties:

– Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including greeting customers and answering questions.
– Operate the cash register, process transactions (cash, credit/debit), and manage end-of-day reconciliation.
– Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.

Production Worker Duties:

– Sort, clean, and categorize donated items (clothing, housewares, electronics, etc.).
– Inspect items for quality and determine their suitability for sale.
– Price and tag merchandise accurately according to established guidelines.
– Move and organize inventory in the back-of-house production area.

What You Bring:

– A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
– Reliability and strong work ethic.
– Basic math skills and experience with cash handling is a plus.
– 1 year of retail or production experience, Thrift experience an asset
